Manch PD miniprotest

In the spirit of "not gonna let this go till cameras returned," we will be micro-demonstrating again outside the Manchester Police Department.

Background details:
http://www.unionleader.com/article/20110605/NEWS03/706059981

Timeline for this protest:

Fri, July 1, 2011

4:15 pm gather outside MPD, 315 Chestnut, Manchester, NH
4:30 pm enter the department to videotape and try to get our "borrowed" cameras back (no idea where things stand on this except as indicated below).
4:45 pm (approx) head outside to protest for an hour or so

This timeline should stay the same even if some of the cameras are released before then.  Maybe some already have been, but MPD deserves another protest and another visit from unhappy "customers."  I'll be there in the absence of some disabling disaster.

I probably won't have my gadsden flag with me this time so flags will be in short supply; bring one if you can.
This time I have a copy of state paperwork, the state has motioned to have the cameras returned to us.  And they had to fill out a spitload of paperwork.

The last demo resulted in a new person showing up and getting involved, after the event he decided to come to PorcFest and we saw him there.

Another guy was just walking buy... ended up joining the protest and accepting our invite to PorcFest as well!   I bumped into him in the Rogers parking lot!

Same drill as last time though... my preference is not to focus on chalking but on the camera seizure issue.

Here's a little idea I ran across while researching an idea:

Might make an interesting statement, what with them getting so upset about the chalk....

it seems like most of the government buildings are very clean ... but maybe I have not been looking that hard

Prefer to focus on the camera seizure issue rather than the chalking, as the camera issue gets (and deserves) more public support.

Thanks, I now remember hearing of this before. Nice to add to the bag of tricks.  8)

i am sure everyone would agree .... maybe even some cops.

In any town where there has been a chalking event that was condoned by the town, the chalking is a Federally protected free speech activity.
