We have lost a great soul from our Liberty Movement today, Pat McCotter passed away this morning with his family around him. Please keep Gloria in your thoughts, burial will be in the spring in Connecticut. Pat was a pioneer in the FSP and family to so many of us. If you wish to send a card you can to Gloria McCotter 83 Baker Ave. Meriden CT 06451

Damn that is indeed sad news.   :'(

William and I met Pat the first time we went to Concord.

We went over to the Fed court and got there early... We were walking down the street looking for cameras and feeling generally paranoid when someone called out my name. I thought who the heck knows me here (with an extra helping of paranoia). It was Pat McCotter, he was pumping water out of the steam tunnel in the sidewalk in front of the building. Really nice guy, he had good things to say about William (who was very interested in the pumping operation).

Freakin' too bad, especially losing a good guy like Pat.

Been a bad few months for health/death issues with liberty-lovers...

Boy I remember that day. It looked like we had PatMc set up as a "utility worker" for our event. Maybe that is how we have been spending all the millions from the Koch family. :)

PatMc was a fun person to hang around and it was such a bummer to watch him get sicker and sicker. He was such a positive internet warrior for us on this site and I bet many others. Having the good guys on your side helps boost your optimism for victory, or at least the integrity of your cause.

Maybe Lloyd can do the nhunderground eulogy.

Thank you for being here Pat McCotter.

I first knew Pat Mc from the FSP forum, where I called him "Pam T. Cotter" -- back then, he had his username as one word, all lower case, and "patmccotter" always looked like "Pam T. Cotter" at first glance.

When I first set foot in NH for PorcFest '06, Pat Mc was one of the first people I saw at the registration area. He was waiting with a big grin and welcoming handshake, and we joked around like old friends at a class reunion.

Pat was like all the friends I made that week, a group that I will always hold in fond memory. The Kannings, the Thatcher-Sawyer family, Lloyd, "The Other Pat" Kaz, Cathleen, and many others, even the irascible Seth Cohn, are people I consider friends, and their lives will always be of interest to me.

I followed Pat's updates about the last months of his nephew Billy's life, and we chatted regularly on Facebook. The last day he logged in to this forum was also the date of his last Facebook post, January 2nd.

Rest in peace, Pat. You have left us much too soon.

Damn. While I knew Pat was not in good
shape, I always thought he'd get better.

Russell Kanning

Yea ... it sounded like he static or getting worse the last time I talked with them.
