Back to my original question:

What about Manchester?

I see more housing ads in and around Manchester on craigslist, than the Portsmouth area.

It also seems to be about the same distance to Boston.

Pros/cons?

I prefer driving to Boston from Manchester, than Portsmouth.

Manchester has a lot of housing options.

Portsmouth is artsy cutesy fun. I don't know what it is like to live there.

We were in Manchester a year, now in Derry to commute to MA.
