Important to note the air is clean here and it's been voted the 'best' place to live for health, wealth and comfort..
The economy is doing better than most places...ie there are not as many home foreclosures as there are in other states.

I guess the capitalistism has a lot to do with that.

It is cold here. But if you love freedom more than sunshine then maybe a move to NH is a good idea.

There are skinny people in NH. They are just tough.

Gryphyn,

As a native, skinny (127 lbs naked, 6ft) Floridian who has never seen snow on the ground, here's how I see it:

I'm willing to be cold for Liberty.

I will adjust.

My new mantra is "The cold is the life!", since people live longer in colder climates.

We can do it!  Just stay positive, and warm.

Hey I saw plenty of sunshine during my brief stay in NH two weeks ago... :)
I heartily agree with Russell's point, though.  The cold climate kinda does tend to separate the chaff from the wheat...

i've lived in new england my whole life, and this is how i deal with it:

the fall is great when it cools down a little, because you can still go outside with a sweatshire and enjoy the foliage.

the snow starts in late november usually. personally, november-december don't bother me. november is fine because it's hunting season (which i guess is a matter of whether or not one likes to hunt), and december is usually so busy with the holidays and everything that i don't notice the cold.

it's january-march that can be a little tough. a ton of people around here LOVE it, although I prefer the warmer months myself. anyway, just drink lots of hot chocolate and beer, dress warm, and keep a shovel in your car. do that and you'll be fine.

there's also the benefit of snow sports. Most people around here like to ski, snowboard, snowmobile, etc. personally, i'm not into that. i, however, am definately in the minority as far as native new englanders. i usually gain ten or so pounds in the winter because i'd rather stay inside and read.

I think the cold is a great excuse to cuddle up with one's husband.

This is not a picture I want to go to my grave with. ;D
