hope, anybody?

Where does hope lie? I see it not.
What I do see is good men oppressed.
I see children jailed, I see innocents shot.
The news just leave me depressed.

Where does hope lie against the evil plot?
How are so many possessed?
How long must we shout against the silence of god?
What got us so deeply distressed?

I see a world of fears.
I see a world of tears.
I clearly see evil's scope.

I see a world of blood.
I see eyes shut.
What I do not see is hope.

I think there is hope.  The evil people must have our cooperation to do their evil deeds.  We can stop cooperating...each of us.  There are so many more good people in the world.  Without our cooperation, the evil is relatively impotent.
