Liberty books for kids?

Someone gave me this popular kids book for molly.

Synopsis: Socialism.  Give away your property (or worse the part of you that is unique and beautiful) until everyone has the same amount and only then will you be happy.

For crying out loud, are there kids books out there based on libertarian values?  If I read any more cheerfully obedient socialist garbage to my daughter I'm gonn puke.

How old?  We liked The Girl who Owned a City - about private property.  We just read Among the Hidden which had freedom themes.  Kira couldn't put that one down.

Dreepa

Well the Rainbow book is for really young kids.

The Little House on the Prairie books are pretty libertarian.  They work for younger kids...and older.

Rochelle

Yea, I was going to suggest all the Little House books. They get more libertarian as they go along. The series editor, Rose Wilder Lane, was one of the founding "mothers" of the modern Libertarian movement in the US :) Can't get much better than that.

Thidwick the big hearted moose - Dr Seuss

Teaches how you own your body, Thidwick invites a bird (who lost its home) to live in his antlers, well the bird invites a few friends and they invite a few friends and soon thidwick can't walk, so he kicks everyone out and lives happily ever after. (Except much better, and espousing libertarian ideals)

She's six months old.  We read to her throughout the day and as her bedtime ritual.  Little house will probably help.

Thanks
