QuoteStop the corporations from hiring them, they'll stop coming.  Then, they'll return to their countries and decide that it is time to take their country back.  We, in turn, will show our support by electing a candidate or candidates that will not use their power of the UNITED STATES to force Mexico to remain a 3rd world country, but let them progress as the people wish.

Yeah, well said! :)

Alrighty, 4 to go and then your in the clear to get some positives! ;D

The solution isn't to end immigration, it's to end welfare.

Thank you error -- I think my head is going to explode if I read this thread again....

Single men working cheap in an area where their labor is needed can be a plus to an area.  Immigrant families with children using social services could bury another area.

I use to hire illegal aliens at an old job in CA. :)
I currently am an undocumented resident of NH.

Quoteand if your business plan includes hiring illegals so that you can AFFORD to run a business, then you have a business plan that costs all of us. . .and I'm not one to let a corporation have any more free money.

I tend to think that a business plan that includes the concept of hiring the qualified individual who is willing to work for the lowest wage is pretty much good business sense.  I fail to see how it "costs" you anything, unless you feel that you are entitled to a job in someone else's business.  I don't grant that premise.  I'll grant you that corporations are not entitled to "free money", but I fail to see how the right to hire (and fire) anyone they want for whatever wage the individual is willing to work for is a theft against you.  Perhaps you'd care to explain?

QuoteBottom line is-- they cost tax dollars, by masshealth, by housing authorities, by education.

Just stop paying for those abominations.  Masshealth, housing authorities, and public education seem to be the problem, not the hard-working, friendly individuals who are, by your own admission only here to work, and work damn hard at that!

QuoteStop the corporations from hiring them, they'll stop coming.

I'm not sure I want to live in your America, an America where the government goes around snooping on businesses and telling them who they can and can't hire.  An America where the duty of enforcing immigration law (stupid immigration law, at that) falls on the business (correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the concept that businesses should enforce law a form of fascism?).  An America where the burden of proof is on the employer to prove that he has the right to hire a particular person, where Identification papers are required in order to find employment and produce for the economy and for one's family.  True, we have this America to some extent, but most of us are working to roll back these atrocities, not add to them.

:tiphat: Thank you Caleb -- I, and every free market policy think tank, agree with you.
