Hello all,

This is Shuvom, from Manchester.  I got an e-mail from Amanda Phillips about the story of Ed and
Elaine Brown, who live in Concord and have refused to pay income taxes for 16 years.

They have been denied, reportedly, the ability to present their
entire case in court, and apparently there is a vigil/standoff
pending, as they await Federal action to kick in their door some
time this week.

I hadn't seen or heard anything first-hand about this, and was
wondering if anyone in the Concord area could get more details, in
case some sort of situation is imminent.

Background details at: http://yannone.blogspot.com/ and
http://questforfairtrialinconcordnh.blogspot.com/

I know someone at channel 9 news, who I might see
Wednesday night, so there might be a possibility to get local
coverage.

Has anyone heard about this?

Thanks,
Shuvom

Shuvom,

Check the NH News section of this forum.  All the threads on the Browns' situation has been integrated into a single thread there.

Caleb,

Thanks to you and KBCraig for a quick response- the neural network comes through again!

I'm planning on driving up sometime Saturday, just to see for myself.

My cell is 252-646-2643, email shuvom@comcast.net if anyone wants to meet me there.

Thanks,
Shuvom

Shuvom,

We've all here in NH known the Browns for years.

One of the questions I ask is, why now are they doing this to them?
It's not like they have not be tax protesters for years before this.
What was the arbitrary date that caused them to take action this time?

Also, a lot of the press is talking about 'armed standoffs' when the Browns have always been nonviolent.
I just hope that kind of talk doesn't cause trouble for the Brown's or the bystanders.

Be careful!

:)

Jane, Ed himself told us he's waiting for an armed confrontation with the feds.

Well then, I guess there is nothing else to say but, please be careful to stay out of the line of fire!
