K, Im going to open myself up to some ribbing here.

Back in the early 90's I had stylized an eyebrow; ala Vanilla Ice. ( It was a fad here before Ice Ice Baby even hit the charts.)

It grew back in about a month; but perhaps that is due to a high level of testosterone.

I have read that applying clarified butter can help promote quicker hair growth, as it helps to open up the pores and provides nutrients conducive to hair growth. ( No, I'm not kidding  ;)  )

Not sure what to do about hiding such though; I never really cared what other people thought of my appearance. Patience is likely the best solution as long as vanity can be put aside.

My daughter and her friend shaved off the eyebrows of an unsuspecting drunk guy at a soccer tournament (no, not my husband)...they eventually grew back, but it took a while (couple weeks I'm guessing??).

Just about the only way you wouldn't get your eyebrows back is if the hair follicles were destroyed.  Even then, I dunno, maybe it'd come back.

I occasionally notice this out-of-place hair above my right eyebrow, I think... it's usually blond and I'll notice it when it gets to be quite long (maybe 1/2" for a hair in the "middle of nowhere").  I pluck it, but it always seems to come back.  So, I guess it depends how well you pluck the individual hairs.  :)

Thanks EJ that took some courage! :)

Thank you everybody for your help and posts!  I actually took a different, darker eyeliner and drew this person's eyebrow on today and it worked! ;D
I told her not to use a band aid anymore because now she doesn't have to.

Thanks for sharing all of your experiences too!  Malevil, I am never sleeping at your house, I'm going to make sure I'm loaded up on coffee before I even come over! :D

Karma to all ! :grouphug:

It's nothing; I've always been the "black sheep", so I've developed pretty "hard skin".

If I can help someone out, it's worth it.

I make and keep clarified butter on hand. Maybe I should market it.

Thats a thought; market it to "professional" middle-aged males to maximize potential profits.  ;)

You might want to try some "clinical studies" to see if it is actually effective though; unless there is some loophole you can use in regards to the FDA and to avoid any lawsuits. I still have a full head of hair so I cant be a guinea pig.  ;D

Can't seem to remember exactly where I read it; though I remember it being a Himalayan folk remedy.

Oh yeah, from what I read the best results were obtained when the butter was applied by massage as well.

Well, Don's hair is pretty thin and receding. And he might not mind the massage part, but he still might not go for it.
