This guy is going to burn himself alive at a gas station in Livermore, CA at 1800 (6pm) today to protest the war.

Sounds rather like a lefty to me.  Unless he means that the confiscation of people's weapons after Katrina was bad, or forced evictions at the end of a gun.  And what about VA Tech?  I'm plenty pissed that VA Tech administration made it a free fire, disarmed victim zone.  This guy probably thinks more gun control is the answer, however.  If my assumptions are correct, than I could really care less if he burns himself alive outside of a gas station, other than perhaps being pissed off that someone else will get stuck w/ the cleanup bill.

Oh, and his announcing it online will likely result in a heavy police presence.  My bet is that he shows up, makes his statement, maybe busts out the gas and matches, and the cops haul him away.  He gets to make his statement without burning himself alive, gets to make the cops look like dicks (I wouldn't personally do a damn thing to keep him from doing it other than try to talk him out of it, or maybe make him do it on his own property where nobody else is getting stuck w/ the cleanup bill), and everyone goes "ooooh, aaaaaah, look at that!"

Yeah, if my lefty assumption is correct, good riddance.  Anybody who gets pissed off over my right to keep and bear arms, and my right to defend myself, can go burn in hell for all I care.

Do they get to burn themselves there? :o ;D

Apparently he plans to come back from the dead...

QuoteI am going to kill myself for peace to prove the futility of fighting a War for Peace. Shortly afterwards, I will read a statement regarding my sacrifice. It will basically say, "Chris died for peace."

Katrina - because he thinks a human caused it or because the government did not do enough about it?
VA Tech - because of no gun laws or too many gun laws which prevented them from protecting themselves?
