No need to be sorry because you have a different perspective from your experiences than I do.

IMO, we cant blame L.E.O's for the laws as they did not create them. The laws came to be because people were complacent and the foliticans took advantage of that. I totally agree that many laws need to be changed.

Of course my own perspective is biased from having more positive encounters with L.E.O's, than negative.

If a group of people hire a person or a company (soldiers of fortune) to abduct people that do things that they don't like, even if the that person is not hurting anyone else. Then we should not blame the soldiers of fortune. Because they need to make a living and are just doing their job.

I'm assuming you are being sarcastic/facetious that we shouldn't blame the "enforcers"!?!?!

If not...then WTF!
You need to be abducted by them immediately and never heard from again!

Certainly those that unjustly uphold laws can, and should, be held accountable. I'm not implying differently.

You just said that they are "just doing their jobs" and shouldn't be blamed.

Anyone who can read basic English can read the Constitution of the US and those of the several States.

And, more to the point, even if you amend those documents, certaint things are such basic rights that it really couldn't matter.  For example, self defense.  Anyone who has ever enforced a "victim disarmament" law is guilty of crimes agaist humanity.  And "I was just following orders" does not qualify as a defense...

That's the whole Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives right there.

I don't think there's a single thing that agency does that's constitutional.

"I was just following orders."

Sound familiar?

I have had too many to list here.  I've mentioned some of them in one of my blog posts at http://defenderofliberty.blogspot.com/2006/02/to-serve-and-protect-i-dont-think-so.html.  One incident that I didn't mention on there was when I was pulled over by a drunk cop who was very beligerrent and loud while he was swearing at and threatening me.  The funny thing is that I wasn't on a public way (I was in an empty parking lot.) and hadn't broken any laws.  Fortunately after he was done with his tirade, he let me go.

IMO many L.E.O.'s start off with good intentions but eventually develop predjudices and become very judgemental after some time on the job due to so much exposure to criminaly miinded individuals.

Also many of the young ones try to prove how tough they are.

Ya mean the other cops?

Sorry EJ. I went to quote you, apparently modified your post.  I don't know how to get it back.
