From Lalania:

First hike of the Season, Temple Mountain Saturday May 19th 11am.
Temple Mountain is part of the Wapack range and for those of you who
frequent 101 between Peterborough and Milford, a familiar sight.  This
hike is of the other side of the mountain.  Rated as a 6 in difficulty
and an 8 in goodness, I thought it would be a good one to start the
season with.  It is said to be one of the most scenic lengths of the
Wapack trail and comes in at 5.8 miles round trip.  A very similar
hike to Miller State Park, which was the first hike last year and one
of my personal favorites.  Lots of views along the ridge as well a
good deal of woods.  Total time is estimated at 3-4 hours.

Meet up in the parking lot at 11am, hike to start at 11:15am.  I do
believe pets are welcome!  Always remember to bring water, sunscreen,
bug spray and walking sticks if you find them useful.
There is an ice cream stand on 101 heading east.  They serve food to,
so if the mood strikes, we can wonder over there for a leisurely snack
when we're all done.  ^_^

Here's the Wapack site: http://www.wapack.org/

DIRECTIONS:

From the junction on 101 and 124, drive south in 124.  Take a left
onto Temple Road and go 0.7 miles to the small dirt lot on the right.
The trail begins across the road and is indicated with yellow blazes.
