Hi folks, my move is getting closer, and I'd love to find some friends in NH before I get there.  I still don't know when I'll be leaving Arizona, but it could be as soon as Sept, and definitely before the end of the year.

So first let me say, I'm still pretty new to this whole freedom thing.  I've always been into politics and learning about the world, but I was a total socialist.  I blame public education and my parents who where both raised in California for indoctrinating me.  Anyway, I was studying social science at college, not really sure what I wanted to do with my life.  While in school, I found an easy job doing data entry for the US postal service, where we are allowed to listen to headphones.  It's during this time I started listening to political shows like NPR, Democracy Now, and thankfully Free Talk Live.  Needless to say, I didn't agree with everything on FTL at first, but they sucked me in, and I soon realized I was a libertarian.  It never occurred to me that my paychecks were funded through force (I was a dumb socialist, remember).  I used to like paying taxes, because I thought it made the world a better place .  FTL showed me that freedom is the way towards a more sustainable and peaceful society, using force is not right, and pointed out that the gov't is force (I was previously oblivious).  Were it not for finding FTL, there is no doubt I would become a life long bureaucrat, as most of the jobs in the social science field are gov't funded in some way or another.  I still work at the postal service, and I'm tired of not living out my principals.  I want to work for freedom and change, and NH seems like just the place for someone like me (I was raised in S. Dakota, and can't wait to get back to changing season and less people!).  I still have no idea what I want to do with my life, and individualism seems intimidating at times, because it's such a 180 for me.  But I know that working for myself will make me much happier and more prosperous.  Isn't it funny how a political message can totally change your view of the world?

Well there you have it, the story of how I found freedom.  Thanks Ian and Mark for your awesome show, and long live free talk!  Peace.

Making money is all about giving other people what they want (more than the money in their pocket).

What do you have that others might want?
