   Those thugs in riot gear would love to provoke a beat down.  I see secession
of Quebec from Canada in the not too distant future.  I wonder if they will
get a handle on the social programs.

I certainly hope they do. Doesn't matter if they're socialists, secession is secession and will create a great precedent in North America which is used to big behemoth post-colonial creations. (not that Quebec isn't one of those too but it's a step forward)

The problem with them being socialists is that they don't want to secede, they want to threaten with secession in order to get federal grants from the rest of Canada..
