Got this message from a fellow NH activist.  I didn't really have any info for him.  Any ideas?

Do you happen to know of a lender that will lend money for capital equipment purchases (i.e. pickup truck for my business) and not require a social security number?  I have some established under my federal tax ID number only, but currently lenders are demanding a social security number as well.  Some have even gone so far as to lie to me about this.  I just got off the phone with one person who told me the federal tax ID number would be enough.  When I got home and checked the email from her, there was an attachment for a commercial loan application AND a personal financial statement.  What did the PFS ask for?  Social security number.
