How do you store your music/movie discs?

Here is a wierd question that popped up in my brain meats.

How do you store your movie or music discs?
In the case, or out?

I put my movie and music discs in carrying cases and then save the cases. Then I realized "What the hell am I saving the cases for?". So now I've started throwing out the cases. They serve no real purpose and I don't read liner notes.

Anyway, that is all.

Music is saved to a computer.  DVDs and videogame CDs are saved in original boxes.  DS videogames are saved in a big case and I throw out the packaging.

My movies and music CD's are stored in original packaging and sorted in alphabetical order.  And yes, I have been known to read liner notes.   [I was going to insert the nerd emoticon here, but it seems to have disappeared.]

I store the discs in white paper windowed envelopes, in drawers sorted by category.

No cases, it's all second-hand data.

I rip music or movies to my fileserver and then put the cases on my bookshelf. The physical disks go in a media firesafe. I used to actually listen to CD's but once my roommate scratched them long ago I refused to let any hand but my own touch them and copies can be made for pennies, so why bother. :)
