Rob & Ivy: Mediation

Regarding the recent conflict between Rob and Ivy:

Both Rob and Ivy desired a timely and mutually beneficial resolution to their personal conflict and agreed to work with each other through a private mediation session. At the mediation session they managed to resolve all issues of immediate concern to their mutual satisfaction.  They strongly agreed that things should have been handled differently from the very beginning, but realizing the impossibility of changing the past they were willing to move forward peacefully and in good faith and come to a resolution.

They also strongly agreed that much of the escalation and increasing tension of the conflict was due to the  uninvited comments of various third parties who were not involved in their private interpersonal conflict.

Therefore, after both parties sat down to a mediation session with Bill Walker (BaldEagle) and myself (Mike Ruff, AncapAgency), they both agreed that their concerns were addressed, the personal conflict is resolved, and absolutely no further concerns regarding malicious intent or personal safety exist.

Furthermore, both parties agreed that should they have any future conflicts, they would make an effort to resolve the conflict via mediation before resorting to involvement of the government or its agents in any way.  Additionally, both Ivy and Rob hope that this will be an example to the Porcupine Community, and would encourage their fellow Porcupines to also make an effort to resolve conflicts via private non-coercive means in the future.  They also engaged in constructive brainstorming about methods to deal with future emergencies within the community, even if the emergencies are not due to conflicts.

A final note and warning:  During this interpersonal conflict, it appears that person(s) unknown made efforts to sabotage Ivy's truck at least twice.  Rob and Ivy currently believe that these acts of sabotage were committed by someone or some group for the purpose of escalating the difficulties between Ivy and Rob as a way to create further discord within the FSP. Rob volunteered his assistance in repairing Ivy's truck, Ivy accepted, and Ivy's truck is now repaired. Due to the sabotage, both are concerned that other incidents and observations - including the recent tampering with Ivy's mail - suggest that other members of the FSP may be targeted now or in the future by people who intend to fragment and destroy the Liberty Movement in NH.

Due to this potential threat to our community, we would like to emphasize the importance of peacefully and rationally resolving conflicts via mediation before resorting to the irrevocable and damaging involvement of the government or its agents in any way.
