I've just spent three solid hours, with a couple of brief replies, catching up on the forum after being forced off-line for 24 hours by: 1) power outage of unknown cause in my ISP's neighborhood; 2) lame telco who couldn't find the faults in their ATMs; and, 3) even lamer local ISP who wants to blame everything (including their lack of redundancy) on everyone else.

*feh* If I wanted excuses, I'd ask politicians.

I'm back online, finally.

Kevin,

Welcome home.  I am sure you have been not only in technological hell, but in withdrawal.  I mean how can you get through a whole 24 hours without your fix of the underground?  And I gotta tell you, it is good that you are back.  Your posts and participation are an integral part of this forum.  Now if you could only manage to get yourself to NH...  :P  that would be even better.  Then you could have been at the meet and greet for the Freedom Summit tonight so you wouldn't have been out of touch even had you been out of the cyber loop.   ;D

I was in Yosemite for 6 days... I had withdrawl for about 48 hours from the Underground... and the beautiful views helped me.

Awww, garsh...  :)

We'd love to be there. We're hurrying as best we can. When I read aloud the weather reports for the north country (while we're having 96-102F days in Texas), I get told, "Either figure out how to get us there now, or STFU!"
