Raw food

I like the whole raw food thing, but man, raw foodists can be a bunch of statists    They're talking about how it's so wonderful that states are passing laws prohibiting smoking in your home or car if you have kids.  I didn't want to start a debate with them, so just ranting about it over here.

Socialism has always had appeal with a large subset of hippies.

Thankfully, libertarianism and anarchy has great appeal with much of the rest.

I think your use of the "hippie" term was inappropriate.

Too many people are quick ( and wrong) to throw the "hippie" term at anyone eating healthy, questioning the gov, being self sufficient or not following the lines of the politically correct.

Not ALL hippies want to ban smoking, infact many "hippies" smoke tobacco and other herbs.

But if someone smokes it should not offend the people around you. Its called common courtesy and IMO we do not need any damn laws to enforce it.

I get tired of people categorizing everyone into a "hippie".

OK, I'll grant you, a few of the raw foodists that I've bumped into were not hippies.  I apologize to those few people for lumping them in with the hippies.

An awful lot of people think that their personal sense of what's right and wrong, what's good or bad for you, ought to be override other's rights. Have you talked to your husband today?
