I was feeling lyrical this evening, so I threw some verses together.  *Ahem*

"To the War-Weary"
by Eric Manda

Punctured, twisted, lying dead:
Inside out, his life is spread
Across the field of battle now.

Far from home he has been led,
To meet his end in bloody red,
Forced down into one final bow.

Ugly tracks of tire and tread,
Left by beasts of metal dread,
Engrave the earth men used to plow.

His time is short, a fraying thread.
A question can't escape his head,
Furrowing his pallid brow.

Oaths are sworn, and speeches read,
But Justice asks for words unsaid.

Answer with a solemn vow:
How much more will you allow?

Same here!

Me three.
Unrelated, but I changed my avatar today.  It was this one or one that said "I already oppose the Next war".
