Talisman
Oh, Talisman! Talisman is the best. Talk about starting fights over rules interpretations though, man! You can't even get new copies of Talisman though. You have to get old ones on eBay or something.
The best version of Talisman is when they were designing the game and releasing it in magazine form. I loved the city expansion and especially the "added" character of the Herald. You gained a bonus by singing of your deeds, which we ruled you had to actually do.

We do have the board game version if you want to play sometime, but it's a poor comparison.

Diplomacy

OMG, he plays Diplomacy!  :o :o

(Nice seeing your family today  :D)
Yeah, I'm missing all the weekday fun lately.  :( although I did get to do the Pat & Gloria move on the weekend (where is the smiley for being sore all over?)

The first time M played Diplomacy was with me and 4 other guys at college. We had spent weeks telling her how (figuratively) people stabbed each other in the back, how good we were, etc. She played completely honestly for most of the game, then manipulated 3 of us (including me) on one turn to win the game.

I think I proposed later that year.

kat, how do you like apples to apples?

It's one of our favorite games.  (Was that what you were asking?)

Lloyd Danforth

I remember watching you guys play it at Dawns a couple of years ago. It looked interesting.
