Good article. I've seen the square watermelons before.
It seems wierd that people wouldn't think they just grew them in a box.

If they grew them in pyramids, we could eat them and then wear them as hats to protect our minds from the government mind control waves.

Or how about star or heart shaped cucumber slices?

Could they shape them like throwing stars?

Then they could make the movie= CUCUMBERS OF DEATH!

COLLEGE STATION -- A cold slice of watermelon has long been a Fourth of July holiday staple. But according to recent studies, the juicy fruit may be better suited for Valentine's Day.

That's because scientists say watermelon has ingredients that deliver Viagra-like effects to the body's blood vessels and may even increase libido.

Aggie jokes aside... I think Black (hard as a) Diamond melons are appropriate for this holiday weekend. Maybe it's worth noting that Bill Clinton, the man from Hope, was born in the watermelon capitol of the world. Maybe we'll see Bob Dole touting little blue pills at this year's Hope Watermelon Festival, but getting a healthy dose of competition.
