I am getting on in years and grew up in a past generation when there was still some semblance of freedom in the United States. I was a little kid way back in the 1950's and I remember my 3rd grade teacher showing the class a fuzzy B&W photo of Moscow police officers stopping passers by on the streets and checking their papers. Our teacher told us that America is a free country and such scenes will never occur  here because such things only happen in recently defeated Nazi Germany and in our arch enemy, the Evil Empire that is was Soviet Union. WOW have things changed; Americans need to show their papers for any long distance travel, to open a bank account, to buy sudafed , to check in a motel (Tell that to all the Mrs Smiths I shacked up with anonymously), to do a $20.00 return at Radio Shack (came close to getting locked up over that situation), in some states (NJ) to buy nyquil and for a myriad of of other every day routine activities. When I was a snot nosed young kid I had plenty of brushes with the cops for all kinds of stupid shit like as public drunkenness and trespassing. Not once was I even asked for ID because photo ID didn't yet exist. As an ID refuse nick and privacy activist I will not compromise and as such have become a second class citizen. I cannot travel domestically in my own country, cannot purchase sudafed ( I have chronic sinusitis and sudafed gives me some relief). Way back in the '60s there was no personal ID system and there was less crime and violence than exists today. Pervasive ID demands serve no useful purpose other than creating a control grid for our evil government and their corporate partners. Any ID system is a tool of control freak government parasites and robber baron corporations and has no place in a free society. DO NOT COMPROMISE WITH EVIL. DON'T CARRY ANY ID LET ALONE SHOW IT ON DEMAND.  The system sucks. I am glad I won't be around for many more years and really feel sorry for the young people that have to live most of their lives in such an oppressive world

Make sure any system has the ability for valid Authentication...and you might be all set.
