Chevy Chase, Md., an upscale suburb of Washington, recently announced a six-month moratorium on home construction to make time to examine how to deal with the proliferation of oversized single-family houses.

Meanwhile, the six-month moratorium on home construction has probably skyrocketed existing home prices.

Everyone who lives there has an interest in their home values skyrocketing.  They may want to keep the moratorium implemented indefinitely.

I'd rather be shot in the head 7 times than have my home regulated by the government.

But that's just me.  I'm weird like that.
