Bill Henderson

Hello New Hampshire,

My name is Bill Henderson and I am proud to announce that I am running for the Democratic nomination for Congress in the 1st district next year. This is my first political experience; I have worked on Wall St. and at a number of investment companies across the country. I am running for Congress for one main reason, to build a stronger America. Congressman Bradley is out of touch with the core values of the citizens of this state, we need a new leader in Washington. Jeb has quickly become one of Tom Delay's puppets and our people deserve better. I feel America must have a strong national security and we should defend ourselves when attacked, but this war in Iraq has drifted into a quagmire. Iraq has become a black mark on America's soul; the thousands of deaths of our brave men and woman and the countless innocent civilians killed cannot be brought back and will not be forgotten. We must stand up for the rights of woman and minorities, something Jeb Bradley talks the talk on, but fails to walk the walk. Our environment is quite possibly our most precious gift from the lord, and we must stand strong to protect it at every opportunity. Our nation needs a more fair tax system, one that doesn't punish the low income and the small business owner, this is vital to our economy. In congress, I intend to sponsor legislation that imposes penalties on corporations that outsource jobs overseas and try to destroy our economy. The Patriotic Act is blatantly unconstitutional, and does little to protect our country; it represents a loss of some of our most coveted rights as Americans. Theses are ideas that can unite our party, but more importantly, unite America.

Over the next few months, I will be building grassroots support, and forming my platform to run on. I have lived in Manchester for the past few years and before that I lived in New York and Wyoming. I know that a number of my fellow Democrats are either running, or exploring a run for Congress, but I am your man to turn this district blue and deliver this seat for the party of America?s values. I will be self-funding my run for Congress, and am willing to spend upwards of $2 to $3 million to regain this seat. Please contact me if you would like to learn more about my campaign, drop me an email at hendersonforcongress@yahoo.com

Thank you very much for your time,
Bill Henderson

Rights like freedom of trade, and the right to find the best workers at the best price? Those kinds of rights?

Bill I'm wondering if you have done your homework, re what we are about?  Individual freedom and respect for
ones neighbor, and keeping the government out of pocket, and our bedrooms.

You say, " deliver this seat for the party of America?s values."???????  What party are you talking about or what
America?  The one were a select few know it all and call the rest of the folks stupid, if they don't buy into the
crap?

I'm doubtful we are even in the same book, let alone the same page, however would be most happy to hear
you thoughts on the issues, perhaps I am mistaken.

I sent this to his e-mail:

Hi Bill,

You are against the war in Iraq, that's fine. It is not the "black mark on America's soul" that Vietnam was - at least, not yet.

The rights of women and minorities; What rights do they have that the rest of us do not? Or do you mean that their individual rights as human beings are not being respected? You do know that the smallest minority is the individual, correct? Are you going to ensure that individual rights are also respected?

The environment - whether or not is a "gift from the lord" - can best be protected if all property is privately owned. When property is held in common or in the public interest no-one is held responsible for damage to it. With all private property those damaging someone else's property can be sued and forced to pay restitution.

Tax system - "more fair" and "doesn't punish the low income and the small business owner." The only fair tax system is a voluntary system. One in which each individual can pay for what they need/want/desire in the marketplace. The government telling me that I have to support its charity - welfare - and telling me that I have to pay for pregnancy coverage in my health insurance (I'm male) - and telling me that I cannot buy certain things because they may harm me; this is not a fair system of taxation. The government must cease its unconstitutional activities and remove this burden from the backs of all individual Americans.

Corporations outsourcing overseas - Haven't you heard of free trade? Haven't you heard of lowering costs of doing business so that a larger profit can be made - or so that prices of goods/services can be lowered to bring in more customers so that more profits can be made? Protection of any sector of the economy is wrong. I hope you have heard the story of the buggy whip makers. When buggies were replaced by cars should we have protected the buggy whip manufacturers because they were providing needed jobs? Should we have protected the candle makers when Edison invented the light bulb? Stop trying to protect people, get out of their way, remove all obstacles to their entering the profession of their choice (licensing laws, regulations, etc.) and watch what jobs individual American business owners can create.

The Patriot Act - good luck in doing anything with that as a rookie congress critter. I will stick to changing the political environment in New Hampshire so that others can see what liberty can do for an economy.

Good luck in your campaign. I cannot vote for you as I am in the 2nd district but I would vote against you and Jeb Bradley. Yes it would be a protest vote that would not have a chance of winning but I want all politicians to know that if you do not respect individual rights - including their rights to control their own property and destiny - you will not get my support.
