In November of 2007 this little tidbit floated into the NH Underground. Sesame Street DVD's deemed "not suitable for children".

Today the Department of Homeland Security has teemed up with the now PC Sesame Street gang to help our children understand emergency preparedness.

Homeland Security and Sesame Street Team Up to Indoctrinate the Nation's Youth

Because there's nothing like inciting a little fear into all of us, the Department of Homeland Security has announced a new partnership with Sesame Street aimed at making even the country's littlest citizens painfully aware of the dangers lurking around every corner. Gone are the days of blissful ignorance. Today's youngsters will be adequately trained in emergency preparedness by the likes of Grover.

The partnership is aimed at children, and seeks to encourage family preparedness plans in the case of emergencies, such as terrorist attacks, biological warfare, and maybe even a devastating hurricane.

Meryl Chertoff, wife of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, said: "We all want our children to feel safe in this world. And who better to do that than our Sesame Street friends, Grover and Rosita!"
