We're on our way to New Hampshire, I promise!

Now's your chance to see the world famous (Kelo vs. New London) New London CT and get a free meal.  Come help us move.

Our goal was to become the newest residents of the embattled Fort Trumbull neighborhood in Sept. But fortune favors the bold because now I've got a job interview in New London on Mon Aug. 15.  I'm driving from Las Vegas to CT in a few hours but will be adding more details about the moving party enroute.

Party tentatively set for 2PM Sun Aug 14th, corner of Smith and Walbach.  Watch here for updates.

wow this is a cool idea!  Is anyone else moving to that neighborhood?  if so it would be a good way to help prevent the bulldozing

Kat Kanning

This is so awesome!  Let us know if you need a moving party!

OK! everything is in place for moving in on Sunday.

Come and see the neighborhood of Suzette Kelo and the other 6 eminent domain hold outs.?
Meet my new landlord, Bill, another property owner in the threatened area.?

Sun Aug 14,  New London, CT  Noon-2PM Corner of Smith and Walbach (Follow the signs to Ft. Trumbull state park and fishing pier)

Help me move my three(3) pieces of furniture.
I'm buying the pizza and beer!

If it's not too late, you can run for City Council.  They are really hurting for someone to run as a Republican.  I can put you in touch with the right people.

Fortunatly for Lauren, I showed up and fortunately for both of us her landlord helped us!
Although she is a tough cookie and might have done it herself!
One heavy, unwieldly mattress and one of those heavy power supplies for computers. I had my hand truck but it was feeble against the mighty power supply.  The landlord went next door and borrowed a refrigerator type hand truck and saved the day!
Lauren will, probably, post an image of me, apparently, near death, but, hey!, I can just about do this at room temperature, nevr mind 90 something and 99%!
We went to the regular bar, but, Mr and Mrs Captain were out so I couldn't introduce Lauren to them.

Kat Kanning

You're a hero, Lloyd!   Glad she got moved in OK :)

TackleTheWorld

And that hero's name would be Hercules.  Here he is hefting the matress all by himself.  What a guy.

It's a half a mattress.  Lauren carried the other half up the stairs a couple of minutes later.
