I have a pair of cold weather combat boots, size 9 1/2 W, that I would like to sell or possibly trade.  The soles have a logo that says "Vibram".  I haven't decided on an asking price yet, but feel free to make an offer.  I've found them selling for between $135 and $270, so I will accept an offer of $135 $100 o.b.r.o.  I believe they are waterproof.  I'm selling them because they are a little too small for me, I have another pair, and I could use the cash.

I wore Hermann Survivors, myself. I still have 'em, but the insulation is too compressed for cold protection.

Oh yeah. Another example of why government control of supply/price doesn't work! ;) Private protection orgs probably wouldn't have much surplus, if any.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get new boots of good quality for a good price? I have some pleather minimally lined State Street boots (similar to your basic Dickies model). They were great in WA since they are waterproof and are good enough down to 25F at least. Is this good enough for most situations?

In the Seacoast, as long as you don't plan on being outside for over an hour or something 25F boots should be fine.  You have wool socks, right?

It's getting cold out.  What about $100 or best reasonable offer?  These are made with waterproof, breathable leather with Gore-Tex liner and Thinsulate thermal insulation.
