Another Liberty movie

We just watched a movie I'd never considered as political, but I found it addresses many of our themes: The Terminal, starring Tom Hanks.

Russell and Dreepa might appreciate it because it takes place in an airport. ;)

It's got many small liberty themes. Huge powerful government. Arbitrary and capricious enforcement of silly rules. Petty power-hungry bureaucrats. The statement that sometimes we have to overlook the rules, because people are more important than numbers.

And our hero trapped in the airport comes from an Eastern Bloc nation at war, and is so accustomed to cowing obedience that he won't take the hint and leave the airport, even when offered the opportunity.

I enjoyed the movie when I first saw it. Seeing it again through my "liberty goggles", I enjoyed it even more.

Yes, good movie.  really showed the stupidity of government.

It is real life and makes fun of bureaucrats ..... what could be better.

I should have said "I go Philidelphia" and point to a postcard
