Why does the legalization argument so often advocate following the alcohol model? "Regulate it and tax the hell out of it!" is not the answer. If they simply stopped spending billions pursuing, prosecuting, and imprisoning people for marijuana, it would be a huge net gain to the economy and even -*shudder*- government budgets.
