Speaking of guns and government regulations

The Department of State is requiring exorbitant licenses for almost anyone selling guns, gun parts, or accessories. They won't even tell them what the license costs: they send a bill at the end of the year.

This is a "defense trade control" to restrict exports of sensitive military components, but it is being applied to non-military goods that never leave the country.
