Lookey lookey boys and girls! The president is a superhero! ... hang on a sec while I choke back the vomit in my throat...

Stan Lee, while he was a ground-breaker, is not exactly the type I would describe as a deep-thinker.

I may do a blog post about this, but I was recently thinking about Sandman in Spider-man 3 and how he is stealing money to get his daughter and operation. There is a running theme in Spider-man that the end doesn't justify the means, that it's not OK to steal even in desperate circumstances, and yet government theft is overlooked and justified for "the greater good". It's completely inconsistent logic that goes over people's heads only because they've been indoctrinated to ignore their common sense.

From some things I have seen Stan Lee of Marvel Comics is a big supporter of Democratic party (from what I saw he was assisting a fund raiser for the Clinton's). It does not surprise me that his comics would have presidents making a showing in the books.

Frankly, I don't find many of Stan Lee's superheroes all that interesting.  Thing from FF is one that I do.

What does Detective Comics have to do with Marvel and the gov't again?
