Agreed. I'm reading it as "it could happen again" or probably closer to the truth it WILL happen again. It's a pretty strong commercial.

especially for MTV. . . usually (and are still) they're just a bunch of assholes.

Wow, MTV promoted freedom.  I have been so excited about freedom and MTV at the same time since back when Green Day won a bunch of MTV Music awards one year for their very pro-freedom album - American Idiot.
