Looking for laptop

I'm looking for a refurbished or otherwise cheap laptop.  It needs to be ok at running games up to maybe 2007, needs to have a lawful copy of windows XP, needs to have good wireless internet capability.   Seems like some computers have a pretty picky wireless.   Needs a CD rom, a mic input, network output, a card port for transferring video.  Ideally I'd like to be able to test drive it and return if it can't do what I need. Some computers seem to reject  a lot of software.

I could probably test drive it on the spot rather than taking it home. It would probably take about 90 minutes.

I feel I have decent options for purchasing from a store but wanted if practical to give the community first crack at this.  If you are willing to put up with me as a customer!
