I think they have a right to not accept dollars and hope they don't get their heads cracked over it.  What do you hope?

Couldn't watch your video (dial-up, you know).  I never knew of any controversy over refusing to accept dollars.  Who is complaining?

I wish you had said...

"Texas store refuses to accept FRN's, you know those private pieces of paper which require us to pay interest on to use them in commercial commerce.. The store however will accept Silver Dollars, which congress defined as a coin weighing one troy ounce of pure silver."

The reader then makes the connection that FRN's are NOT lawful money! Silver coins are. Hope this meets with your understanding.

Old U.S. Silver Dollars did NOT contain 1 ounce of silver.  I think it was more like 0.75 oz.  Where is this definition?  (Unless you refer to the bullion coins they're minting now.)
