Children w/ No SSN

Hi,

I am a member of the Free State Project that lives on the Seacoast.  I am looking for qualified legal counsel with a pro-liberty viewpoint.  The person I am looking for must have experience with tax law, and be a member of the Bar Association in good standing.  Does anyone here have suggestions of individuals that would fit the bill?

I have two children, both with no SSN.  I am looking for advice on claiming my two children as dependants and also whether I am safe to enroll in my company's Section 125 Flexible Spending Account program for dependant care.  My research shows that a dependant is not defined by law as having an SSN, but I am trying to figure out how to properly submit my tax forms without just getting my tax return sent back and receiving a fine.

I am not looking for free advice, just trying to find a qualified tax lawyer who won't look at me like I have three heads when I say my children don't have SSNs.  My next avenue would be try an inquiry to the NH Bar Association system, or calling people in the phone book, but I believe I could spend a long time at that before I found someone who would do more than take my money and tell me it can't be done.

Thanks,
Micah

If you don't want your children to be in the tax system, why are you trying to put them in the tax system?

Contact Seth or Adam Mackler. Both of them are Free State Project members with pro-liberty view points. They're both fairly "new" attorney's and I don't think either of them are specialized at all, let alone tax law. But I do know as a FACT that Adam Mackler has taken on other FSP clients with tax matters and his work intimidates bureaucrats enough to issue rebates and abatements.

He does not want to put children in the tax system. He just want to save some of HIS money from extortion.

It took me a minute to get that icon. I feel dim.

I had to zoom in to even see what it was. Appropriate, though.  ;)

Thanks Kevin Dean, I would be interested in contacting them to see if they are willing to talk with me about my situation.  Can you let me know how I can get in touch with them?

Sorry for the slow reply on this. I don't have Adam's contact info. I sent you an e-mail with Seth's and he is looking forward to hearing from you.

First I applaud you for not obtaining the System Slave Number for your children. I have a relative that works for I Rob Serfs that has helped me realize that no matter how you try to do so, regardless of the actual "law", the IRS follows it's own "regulations". This has been proven countless times in countless cases.

The current IRS position and "regulations" are that every dependent you claim in any way shape or form (with the exception of certain elderly dependents who have never had SSNs), must have a System Slave Number. That's, in part, why you were pressured so much to fill-out the "request" for one at the hospital. (If you went there for your children's births.)

Therefore, with the caveat that IANALNDIPOOTV, here's the way we've handled it with our kids... (we didn't put them in the system... in fact, when they took the little hand & footprints, WE kept all of that stuff... they've also never been stuck with any poisons either...)

1) We realized first and foremost that this action is not and will not benefit US. This action is and was taken for the benefit of our off-spring in the hopes that they can remain free. Thus, for the purposes of the taxman, we do not claim them in any way and decided in advance that we had lived without any special "credits" bought with another's freedom and liberty before, so it isn't any big deal to continue that way.

2) There are MANY ways to "legally" reduce your taxable income greatly. As the IRS relative once told me, "I don't care if you pay little or nothing for taxes as long as you do it 'legally' within the 'rules'." It can be tiresome and cumbersome (I've always felt it to be a challenge or a game), to squeeze every penny away from the goon-squad as possible. And I realize that going through the actual tax code (it takes up lots of shelf space in the library... I know... I've read a lot of it) and trying to cross-reference and understand it is even worse, but you don't need to know all of it, just the parts that are pertinent to what you're trying to do. I advise against trying many of the "you don't have to pay taxes" arguments that are out there. Whether you or I agree with them or not isn't the point... the point is that the system is rigged to throw you in jail if you disagree with the goons and the goons have the guns and (unfortunately) popular (mob rule) belief/opinion behind them. Even still I know folks who have paid little to nothing in taxes using the government's own rules to do so.

So to sum it up... not for yourself, for your kids, as we and others have done... keep fighting the good fight and don't even take the chance that they can be forced into slavery... and once you try to claim them, the goons know they exist and will start trying to come after you/them to pull them into the matrix.

In Liberty...

Actually, a lawyer (or two) who tells you that you're wrong might not be a bad place to start.  When they look at you as if you have three heads, make them justify their advice.  If they can't do it, then you can feel all the more certain in continuing in your planned direction.  And they might just call your attention to some negative outcomes that you had not considered.
