Shire Silver Pre-Orders

A lot of you have seen the prototypes of the Shire Silver cards. We're taking pre-orders now with the hope that the first batch to be professionally made can be available by PorcFest.

These pre-orders are not actual contracts to buy, but are intended to gauge the amount that can be sold. From the initial research we've done, it looks like we'll need to make at least 1,000 of whichever ones we do produce professionally. That is, if we get pre-orders of more than 1,000 for the 1 gram silver, but not for the other cards, then we're only going to order manufacturing of the 1 gram silver cards.

The pre-ordering capability has been up since Liberty Forum, where we were asking people to let us know how many they would be interested in buying, but so far we've only gotten three pre-orders submitted. Based on the reception the prototypes got, there should be a lot more.

It will probably take a couple of months to get the cards manufactured, so we need to put in an oder soon. If you are at all interested in buying some, please put in a pre-order ASAP.

I love you Ron, more than many people reading this forum might quite grasp.

I will boycott Shire Silver because of your stance, and use of, trademark monopoly to "protect your brand".

You've got a great idea there, and you've implimented it in a way that I think is amazing. I recall a while back you looking at implimentations that struggled to work and you seem to have hit on one that could be done well. But any brand or product that relies on the threat of government force to be useful is something I shun.

Great idea, Ron! I will be participating in this endeavor. I may even create my own brand.

Until I read the "make your own" section, I didn't understand that these are cards with actual silver laminated in (I thought they were certificates). You might want to include a clear explanation on the home page.
