Hacker remotely disables 100 cars in Texas

Okay, he wasn't exactly a hacker: he used a legitimate login that belonged to another employee. This disgruntled ex-employee used the "Pay Technologies" system to shut off cars, or start honking their horns in the middle of the night. This is a system installed by dealer/finance places, so they can disable a car if the payments fall behind.

And of course, the same thing could be done by the dealer in the spirit of "cooperation" with law enforcement officials.
