It's a volcano;  volcanos erupt.   :dontknow:

The thing is, this is the first time this has happened since airplanes became a necessary part of modern life.  Who knows what the impact will be on business, mail delivery, manufacturing, the travel industry...

I'm not going to mention the epic fireball that flew across several midwestern states last night, for fear of really making you paranoid....   :icon_pirat:

Good points, it was many, many years ago that this volcano erupted now everything is different and news spreads all over like wildfire.

I know about the fireball if it's the article I posted the other day.  For some reason that really didn't freak me out as much because it probably was a large meteor that burnt up before it hit the ground, thank goodness.

There are tons of "near misses/hits" than we will ever be aware of within 1 day from asteroids and stuff and if the "big one" ever does hit the earth it will probably happen so fast we won't even know about.  That's what I think happened to the dinosaurs anyway regarding the ice age especially because of the food they found in their mouths, it was like, WHAM!

I think maybe the Edgar Cayce prediction thing is weirding me out too, even though his track record isn't 100% accurate. :-\

"MIDWESTERN FIREBALL: Last night, around 10:05 pm CDT, sky watchers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri witnessed a brilliant green fireball streaking across the sky. Images from a rooftop webcam in Madison, Wisconsin, show a brilliant midair explosion:

The fireball was caused by a small asteroid hitting Earth's atmosphere at a shallow angle. Preliminary infrasound measurements place the energy of the blast at 20 tons of TNT (0.02 kton), with considerable uncertainty. Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office estimates that the space rock was about 1 meter wide and massed some 1260 kg. "Fireballs of this size are surprisingly common," he notes. "They hit Earth about 14 times a month, on average, although most go unnoticed because they appear during the day or over unpopulated areas."

Oh gosh, there went my composure and grip on trying to maintain that composure!   Do you really think we're screwed Lloyd, seriously?

I was hoping for another couple of years at least, geesh those damn Mayans gave us to 2012 and all the way to December which makes it almost 2013!

The world can't end because my Tracfone has enough units added until February 2013 and I'll be adding more soon!  ;D   See, I'll save us all, I knew it would be ME!   :_WeightOfTheWorld__by_Ugghhzi

Hey!  The Mayans were primitives!

You are very funny, Rainey

Thanks Lloyd and you didn't even "edit" my post this time!  :D
