Not really news. More like  daily events. Yesterday a Texas court declined to indict a cop who tasered a 72 year old. Today, this.

Indiana police: officers used stun gun on boy, 10

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- Indiana police say two officers have been placed on administrative suspension after they used a stun gun on an unruly 10-year-old boy at a home day care.

Martinsville police say the officers visited the home Tuesday in response to a call that the boy was being combative and trying to harm other children and caretakers. It was not their first visit to the home on such reports.

The department says that when the officers arrived the boy was out of control, hitting and kicking and refusing to listen to them. The department says the officers used a stun gun and slapped the boy to subdue him.

Assistant Police Chief Dan Riffel says the Morgan County Sheriff's Department will investigate the incident.

I read in another article that the boy is 94 lbs.  It seems that tazing has just become a way of life and a fun time tool for the police.

It is sad enough that the pigs are at a Career Fair.

LEADVILLE, Colo. (AP) -- A sheriff's deputy in Colorado has been placed on unpaid administrative leave after he used a stun gun to shock 30 students at a high school career fair.

Officials with Lake County High School, in the small central Colorado town of Leadville, say the students asked the deputy to shock them so they knew what it felt like. Two students were treated for minor burns at a local hospital and released.

School Superintendent Betty Kokenes told Denver's KUSA-TV that she didn't know the stun gun was being used on the students and that it wasn't an authorized activity.

Sheriff's officials say the incident shouldn't have happened. The deputy's name hasn't been released.

The case has been turned over to the district attorney's office, which will decide whether to pursue charges.

Those who have had any experience with police say, "Su-u-u-u-ure it will." . . .

No, it's true.  They're going to do some empirical studies, so unfortunately they're going to need to taze a bunch more school kids, "to see what happens."

When their budget for the investigation was criticized, they responded, "but if we drink coffee while doing it, we might burn ourselves, costing taxpayers money in workman's comp.  By drinking beer, we won't suffer burns when we laugh at the kids."
