Porcfest event

I plan to do an event at Porcfest on Wed night. I don't know if it will be put on the Porcfest calendar. Just thought I should let the people know on this forum who aren't members of or don't regularly use the FSP forum.

It is an educational video night, with a video about debt freedom, and another about survivalism, by experts in those fields.

Yup. We, the organizers, worked to put on "events" at THE event, to give people an option. We mainly tried to schedule stuff we might be interested in. But we understand that some folks will likely have so much fun at PorcFest, without going to even one scheduled event, and thats AOK too. Just so long as when you leave you say something like "That was Awesome", its all good.

It is the same time as the talent show (if I get it when I want it - the time is still up in the air, which is one of the reasons I have a poll over on the FSP forum, to find out when people are available who want to see these videos), but I wasn't sure if you meant that or the soap box idol on Saturday.

It looks like my videos will be added to the AltExpo schedule. So far I have been offered the 7-9 pm time slot three nights, Thurs - Sat. I am trying to get a morning spot so I can show them at another time as well. If this goes through I will probably cancel my plans to show these on Wednesday.

I will be managing the video viewing for Alt Expo. After I play my videos from 7-9 pm, the equipment will be freed up for other videos to be shown. Other people are welcome to bring your own videos on any alternative topics, or activism videos etc -  Jack has a labeler we will use so we can keep track of who they belong to. The Alt Expo has a catalog of other videos as well. In the past these have gone as late as 3 am. I may also show some videos from 8-10 am before the speakers / presentations start there.

I can't guarantee your videos will be shown, it will depend on what people are interested in seeing. I believe your videos are more likely to be shown if you are there. I should be there regularly in the evenings starting Wed evening around 8-9. We do ask that anyone showing videos make a donation to cover wear and tear. We will have a volunteer with Alt Expo, if not myself, all the time the videos are being shown to run things and ensure the security of people's videos.

I keep saying videos but actually I am showing DVD's. Dan owns the equipment so I will find out from him what the format options are.
