Mitinori, an adjunct professor in Mammalian Germ Cell Biology, led a team of scientists at Kyoto University's Institute for the Integrated Cell-Material Sciences to successfully create a mouse egg – no female required. The team then fertilized the egg with sperm they also created from stem cells, and were able to produce a litter of healthy mice.

They don't talk about it in this article, but this is excellent news for any couple with fertility problems as well.

I went over to my neighbors place, on account a they got to many cats and we didn't think we had enough.

Well when I got over there, there where all kind of cats and all different ages.  I picked up a small fluffy calico kitten with a short puffy tail, and it hissed and bit me.  So I let the kitty go, and I was standing there with my bloody finger when I noticed that all the other cats were staring at me... you know, in that, "Yeah, that was the little one." sort of way... like they was sitt'n on a porch in their rocking chairs with shotguns and banjos... so I left.
