Vermont Libertarian Party Convention

Started by Friday, April 28, 2006, 06:24 AM NHFT

Previous topic - Next topic

Friday

The Libertarian Party of Vermont is holding their annual convention tomorrow.  The Free State Project will have a table there and will be encouraging our neighbors to the west to sign up for PorcFest and, better yet, bail on Vermont and move to NEW HAMPSHIRE!  ;D

Where: Capital Plaza Hotel, Montpelier, Vermont
When: 8AM - 5PM, Saturday, April 29th
Why: the "freedom bus" needs more riders

Good Luck, but it shouldn't be too hard to convince libertarians to move out of their socialist state. Although, if that was the case, the FSP would already be a success. Have fun.

We haven't had any movers from Vermont that I know of.

Wasn't that the Gandi dude?  I think I saw him get arrested once.
Concord?  Yes, yes it was Concord.  I remember now.
Isn't he, like, one of those guys who wants more freedom or something?

Wasn't he on TV?  I think he was even in the paper. Yes, yes I remember. That big paper, The Union Leader had him on the front page.
They made a nice cartoon of him to, and gave him, like, the entire editorial column (not one-out-of-two, or even three) that same day - the entire column!

I sure hope Vermont has more like him!

One of the speakers at the VTLP convention was the chairman (I think that's what he said) of the Second Vermont Republic.  I wound up sitting at the same table with him at lunch; he was very friendly and said that individuals are welcome to attend their upcoming secession convention.  I'm not entirely sure if he was talking about the same convention being discussed on the FSP forum.  Anyway, for those interested in working for secession, I recommend networking with the VT people.  Some of them have been thinking about this stuff for years and have some interesting ideas. Secession is still not my bag (baby).
