I realize the time has passed on this one, but George does a show every Thursday in Keene:
======================================================

On Thursday April 23rd at 9:00am, Bert Cohen will be the guest of WKNH's  Empire Watch.  Cohen is currently Adjunct Faculty at the University of New Hampshire in the Department of Natural Resources where he team teaches classes in Sustainable Living and Systems Thinking for Sustainable Living. He's a member of the mayor's Blue Ribbon Committee on Sustainability for the City of Portsmouth. Cohen is also the founder and co-director of the Belize-UNH Teacher Program, which connects New Hampshire teachers and students with their Belizean counterparts.

With the confluence of Peak Oil, warming global temperatures and the hollow resonance of the global macro economy, the need to work toward a new, wholesale approach toward livelihood becomes ever more imperative - join hosts George Corrette and Pat Riot in their dialogue with Bert Cohen about these crucial changes we all face in our communities, looking inward and outward.

"Empire Watch" can be heard every Thursday at 9:00am (EST) on WKNH (91.3), and can be live streamed at wknh.org

Hi Jack!! Thank you for posting this. Ah.. This is a very deep subject. (sigh) It would be interesting to listen in to what is being said. There is both good and bad sides to the word.. "sustainable."   I have done a great deal of research and understand that sustainable living is a good thing and will become a must.. however that is exactly what the new world order system has set us up for. "Controlled conflicts (or manufactured/distorted or pumped up problems) bring about controlled change."  ie; global warming etc..  Its all about One World Gvmnt. control. The extreme environmental agendas the United Nations has planned is very disturbing and does not bode well for the betterment of the people. There are many well meaning NGO's that are implementing the protocols of these UN extreme agendas. They are very sinister.. however they are presented in the guise of peace and harmony with nature or "Mother earth". That sounds good to almost anyone, however they are literally based on the worship of an anchient greek god called "Gaia." Mother earth is a living and breathing godess and must be protected from the people. Downsizing the population is a must according the "Sustainable Development" agenda and the whole NWO agenda alike. The more this massive giant reers its ugly head and steals our freedoms the more we need to find a way to live sustainably. We fall right into the trap that makes it all look so appealing and necessary. That is exactly what they want. I myself will not conform to the plan they have laid out for us and do not subscribe to the lies that they would have us believe. Having said that... I know that we do have to protect ourselves from the enemy who is diliberately robbing us of our natural foods, resources and natural health freedoms. This agenda is all very much underway. They want the population reduced and they want us entirely enslaved and dependent upon them for everything. (Food, shelter, health and safety etc.)

I've recently been told that I speak too clearly about what I have learned and that it sounds "outlandish".. however I'm not about to   keep quiet and hide the truth in fear of not being recieved well. Its too late in the game for that. People need to know now what is really going on whether it sounds too creepy to comprehend or not. I would hope that instead of dismissing someones claim that they would research for themselves what has been said before an opinion has been formed.

I know what you're saying, research, and it IS a creepy agenda. I look at sustainable living as a survival skill right now, since so many of the systems we depend on are out of our control. I agree that a lot of the "sustainability" movement is hooked up with the idea of population reduction, carbon-taxing, etc., but I believe they are concerned people who can be reached, whereas a lot of the rest of the population is just along for the ride and unaware.

Burt Cohen, for example, is a really mixed bag. He's anti-Bush facism and empire, but he's for various types of gun control. He's into sustainability and he's a seccessionist. He's on the good side of a lot of issues, and on the wrong side of a few. He's got a radio show of his own on Portsmouth Community Radio.

I think Empire Watch would be a good regular listen for Keene folks.

Does Cohen welcome phone calls from his listeners for open discussion? I'll try to remember to listen in next thursday. I do very much agree that we have to know survival skills to protect ourselves and families from the chaos that is about to be unraveled/unleashed. We need to prepare in mind, body and spirit.  Growing vegetable gardens and being self sufficient on all levels is a must for survival in the very near future. The worst of times is yet to come.

Burt's appearance on Empire Watch was this past Thursday...

Here's his homepage with links to the radio show: http://burtcohen.com/Home.aspx - Warning! He is a self-proclaimed socialist... Good one to practice your persuasion chops on!

On Thursday, May 7th Ellen Hayes will be the guest of WKNH's Empire Watch.

Hayes is the Director of ACE (Advocates for Community Empowerment), and will be continuing the discussion on Maine's revolutionary moment:  the very current battle over its communities' ability to protect their groundwater from large-scale corporate extraction.  Importantly, this struggle is not happening within the usual state regulatory apparatus, but is being written into town ordinances, with legally defensible "rights-based" language.  A crucial vote in the town of Wells will be happening on May 16th, and Hayes will bring listeners up to date on the dramatic reactions Augusta has had to this powerful movement.

Empire Watch can be heard every Thursday at 9:00am (EST) on WKNH (91.3), and can be live streamed at wknh.org.  Please call in with your thoughts on the studio line at (603) 358-8863.

On Thursday, July 30th, Director Stephanie Soechtig will be the guest of WKNH's Empire Watch.  Her new and revealing documentary film Tapped focuses on the water bottling industry, and truly has a life-changing impact.  My family has seen it twice now, and are fully blown away by its implications.

Soechtig comes to Empire Watch as a former producer for 20/20, Primetime Live, Planet Earth, and most recently FOX Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor".   The show has covered Maine's groundwater battle with Nestle closely in the past, and we hope you can join hosts George Corrette and Pat Riot in this deeper expose of the water bottling industry.

Empire Watch can be heard every Thursday at 9:00am (EST) on WKNH (91.3), and can be live streamed at wknh.org
