I was being facetious...how can a "renowned socialist" be a faculty member of the Mises Institute?

I'm finding this more and more to be true of you 'libertopians'. No different.

what?

being facetious?

do you even know what the Mises Institute is?

No, finding that groups like yours are socialists in disguise.
And yes, of course I do know what the Von Mises Institute is.

I could say I once was a nun, but would that make you like me anymore? I doubt it.  >:D

I was raised catholic...why do you think I don't like you?

I may disagree with your opinions...I do with Dreepa, Caleb, and Russell but I like them as people.

do you really think someone as prominent and well known in the liberty movement as Thomas DiLorenzo (who also also wrote "The Real Lincoln") would be so careless to associate with an organization promoting socialism?

Just saying that no matter who I say I am or who I am associated with, if you don't like what I am saying it ain't gonna matter much now is it?

As do I but if I don't agree with their opinions, telling me they are associated with this or that group is not going to change that.

I sure do and I am not surprised at anything I see/hear these days.

We are losing ground to the VTers over endorsements .... we will have to make up for it by being the first to kick out the IRS. :)

Jane do you have any idea who Thomas De Lorenzo is?

??? I know you hate Bill. I don't get along with him much either. But you're truely showing your ignorence if you're attacking DiLorenzo.

I don't hate Bill. I just don't see why he can't stop trying to sell socialism here. But then again, when he sees people jump off the cliff for one issue, it's easy to try to troll here for followers.
People who are reactionary about one single issue and don't care with whom they consort can really be compromised.

And, my point about TDL is I don't care who he is or what he does for the group. I am not attacking him at all, never said one word about him.
I still do not like Bill's ideas. My choice right?

only over lunch when we talk about catholicism as it relates to the Pope's message that there is no conflict between faith and reason.

socialism is the state ownership of the means of production (land, labor, capital)...
communism is the collective ownership of the means of production...

can you specifically cite where I have ever advocated either?

There must have been other things we agreed on.

Hell, even I agree with Frank on something, (which amazes me no end), the need to outlaw limited liability corporations, partnerships and professional associations.

Not outlaw. It's state interference that created it in the first place. Get rid of those laws.

the mutualist critique is that all privilege is unjust because the state codifies expoitation by the corporate/ruling class upon labor and makes equal liberty impossible whereas according to the great modern libertarian Albert J. Nock local governments are actually constituted to uphold equal liberty by protecting labor's absolute rights to the fruits of their labor - the price of goods in a free market minus privilege equals labor's full product.
