I'm looking for a new book to read. I was looking for something that reflects today Libertarians and how a liberty oreinted society would work. Any suggestions?

Kat has one called something like "so and so visits Voluntaria."   I don't remember the details but it stuck in my mind parts of it I heard her reading to her daughter.  Your son might enjoy it.  Then there's always "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand

"Healing Our World" by Dr. Mary Ruwart (the 1990s version is free on her website: http://ruwart.com )

If you haven't read this yet, you owe it to yourself.  She's constantly addressing how liberty works, and how it's win-win for everyone.

Ian, thanks!  :) I have read the first 2 chapters and find it totally worthwhile.

If you like the version on the website, you'll love the 2001 version.  Lots of good new info!

I couldn't agree more about Mary Ruwart's book!  Outstanding libertarian read.  If I could memorize the book and the references, I'd be an invincible libertarian candidate, but alas, I've got decades of learning to go...  ???  Ruwart for Governor!

Well, since there has almost never been a libertarian society, most such works are fiction.  I generally recommend the novels of L. Neil Smith, starting with _The Probability Broach_.  Then browse the list of Prometheus Award winners and nominees at the Libertarian Futurist Society website www.lfs.org/awards.htm.  I've just started Vin Suprynowicz's new novel _The Black Arrow_ and it's mighty fine so far.  Recently read finalist for this year's Prometheus, _Freehold_ by Michael Z. Williamson and it was excellent.
