If the lines of communication stay open, you'll win them over

An interesting idea that someone bounced off of me the other day is that if you are able to continue discussing the pro freedom viewpoint with someone long enough, because they are willing to listen, you'll eventually win them over.

The lines of communication just have to stay open.  It helps keep them open if you don't react obnoxiously to their ideas. That's one reason I try to be welcoming to Democrats or authoritarians who drop by here to chat...

Yes, if we talk with them long enough we will convince them but I have another idea.....
