What other gun-rights organization even comes close to their funding and membership numbers?

None.  Of course the NRA is one of the biggest and most powerful organizations in America.  The FSP also has an ad in the lastest copy on the NRA's pro-freedom rag.

This is a great magazine for potential fspers. The real conservatives need to see a viable choice.

Quote from: mvpel on November 06, 2006, 12:38 PM NHFTBill Clinton blamed the NRA for the 2000 losses, and the fact that the anti-gunners are focused on the NRA, illustrate the point.

Whether or not they are justifiably feared, they are feared.

Publicly, they are feared.  Privately, they are not.  The NRA is more than willing to "play ball," but they do make a good scapegoat for the anti-gunners.  The anti-gun folks don't want to draw attention to the less-compromising organizations.

The NRA isn't a gun-rights organization.  The NRA is a training organization that happens to occasionally engage in politics.
