There is a vodka that is made right here in New Hampshire, named after the famous General John Stark, who penned "Live Free or Die".

It's spendy, $28 for a .750L at the state stores, but is arguably the best vodka that I have ever tried. It's distilled from NH apples, too! (No, it doesn't taste like apples) I highly recommend it. It's made at the Flag Hill Distillery and Vineyard in Lee, NH.

Is there actually a shorty dawkins ale? :P
Rocketman found Caleb Johnson's Diary, (where Caleb kept his brewing secrets),

;D ;D ;D

Excellent, Alan. Thanks for the story of how Caleb's brew came back to life.

For the onlookers: This is the Caleb Johnson of Upton's Corners, not the Caleb Johnson of Keene (via Indiana).  ;)

Since Rocketman's Shorty Dawkins' Good Brown Ale hasn't made its way to Texas, I'm making do with a Newcastle Brown Ale, from England. A friend of Shorty's gave me some in Lancaster this past June, and I've been sipping some ever since.  :beer 219:

Kevin, I'm looking forward to sharing some Shorty Dawkins Good Brown Ale with you when you finally 'come home'.

I brought a couple of bottles of John Stark over to Russia as gifts for folks.  I actually actively dislike it as compared to some of the Russian brands.  The Flagship brand has a bit of fructose in it, according to the label.
