Incorporating comes with many other legal benefits. For instance you don't need permission from local police chiefs to buy NFA weapons like machine guns and sawed off shotguns.

What?

When individuals want to buy an NFA item, the paperwork must be signed off on by the "chief law enforcement officer" where they live. In some locales, the CLEO refuses to sign, effectively banning NFA ownership. If a corporation (even a corporation of a single person) wants to buy an NFA item, there is no requirement for the CLEO to sign off on it.

How sinister.

If you're not otherwise "incorporated," you're basically an employee of the state.

Nasty, nasty legal fiction.

Everybody's got to do their own thing. I'd prefer not to have the government able to track me even more with more paper-trails.

I don't think you need to be incorporated for your car to be registered in MT and yet live and be insured in NH. ANy other state it would be against regulations, but in NH since INsurence isn't required I don't think they have all those rules like many other states do.

I could be wrong. But I thought Kat was already doing this, and they aren't incorporated.

I hate to say this, but the tenitus in your hand seems to have strangely made your spelling better.   ;D  Ytsvu.
